(online or by paper registration) 20 days before the primary and/ or general elections.
For Election Day registration, you will need to go to

Step 2: Two ways to vote BEFORE the day of the election.
or at designated early voting locations (Eagan City Hall
in our community) starting 46 days before the August 11th Primary
Election. Early voting this year begins on Friday, June 26th.
Whether voting early by mail or in person, you can request an absentee ballot. Once you’ve requested and received an absentee ballot, you can either:
Vote early by mail, sending the absentee ballot to your county elections office;
Vote early in person by bringing your absentee
ballot to an early voting location. For Eagan voters, early in person
voting can be done at the Eagan City Hall (where there are absentee
ballots that can be filled out onsite) on Pilot Knob Road during normal
business hours starting for the Primary Election on June 26.
On Aug. 11 & Nov. 3 VOTE Maguire for Mayor
(Note: Your ballot will not count if it is received after the deadline. It must be postmarked on or before primary election day, August 11th, and/or for the general election, November 3rd, and received by Dakota County by the day before the county canvass, which may take place on the second or third day following the election.)
Step 3: Going to the polls on Election Day.
If you have not voted early, you can go to your local polling place on the day of the election and register to vote, cast your vote, or do both!
